I had big plans for the next release of Installomator Mate, a major update to the network layer to pave the way for new functions. But just as I had created a new fork and ripped out the old code, my daughter discovered Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
So instead of coding, I’ve spent most evenings since then revisiting Sunnydale (and I have enjoyed every moment).

But the time has finally come – even though we still have a few episodes left on season 6 – to release a new version.
1.4.0 includes:
- Better (at least to my knowledge) network methods.
- Smarter handling of stored data
- Labels that have been retired are now removed
- No more spinning beachball on launch on macOS 27
- A handful of bug fixes.
- Probably a bunch of new bugs
- A better foundation for new features (pray my daughter doesn’t want to follow up Buffy with Angel…).
Enjoy!
PS. 1.4.1 is already released, but I only added Liquid Glass to the buttons to save, load and restore settings.
